Bluetooth Not Working on Hisense TV

Most Hisense TVs support Bluetooth connectivity with different devices. However, several factors can hinder Bluetooth connection.

Hisense TV Bluetooth Not Working

Bluetooth on Hisense TV may not work if your device is far from the TV, your device isn’t in pairing mode, the Bluetooth on the TV is off, or your device’s firmware is outdated.

Bluetooth connectivity brings more options to the way you can enjoy your TV. So it can be frustrating when you’re unable to connect. This article will elaborate on the causes and show you how you can resolve them.

Why Bluetooth Isn’t Working on Hisense TV

Hisense TV Why Bluetooth Not Working

I’ve already mentioned some reasons your Hisense TV Bluetooth isn’t working or connecting with your device. Let’s elaborate on them below:

  • The distance between the device and TV is too far: Distance is an important factor for Bluetooth connectivity. Your device shouldn’t be more than 30 feet (914.4 cm) from your TV, or it may not work effectively. A long distance also affects other TV devices, such as the Fire TV Stick.
  • The device isn’t in pairing mode: For two devices to connect via Bluetooth, one has to be in pairing mode so that the other one can find it. If your device is not in pairing mode, your TV’s Bluetooth won’t locate it.
  • Bluetooth isn’t turned on: This may seem obvious, but it may sometimes be overlooked. To turn on the Bluetooth, go to Menu > Settings >Network> Remotes & Accessories > Bluetooth.
  • The firmware is outdated: If your Bluetooth isn’t connecting after checking the above problems, you may need to update your Hisense TV’s firmware.

How To Get Bluetooth Working on a Hisense TV

If you can’t connect your device to your TV’s Bluetooth, don’t panic. Luckily, there are several ways to solve this problem:

1. Reboot Your Device and Hisense TV

Rebooting your device is a quick fix to many issues, including Bluetooth that won’t connect. It should also be the first step you try if the Bluetooth doesn’t seem to be working on your TV.

After rebooting your Bluetooth device and your TV, try connecting again when both devices come on.

2. Update Your Hisense TV’s Firmware

If rebooting your devices and turning the Bluetooth off and on doesn’t work, you should check for updates on your device and your TV’s firmware.

You can check for firmware updates in your Hisense TV by navigating to the Settings menu with your remote control.

3. Pair Your Hisense TV with Another Device

The suggestions above should fix your Bluetooth connectivity issue. However, if the problem persists, then one of the devices may have a faulty Bluetooth set-up.

In this case, you should try connecting the devices to another device. Doing so will help you to detect which one has faulty Bluetooth.

How To Connect Other Devices to a Hisense TV Bluetooth

Hisense TV Connect Devices

If you have just bought a new Hisense TV, you might not be used to its functionality. If so, here’s how you can connect your smartphone, speaker, and headphones to Hisense TV Bluetooth:

Connecting a Smartphone To a Hisense TV

You can link an Android or iOS device to your Hisense TV. However, both run on different operating systems, and the steps are not the same. Here are the instructions for both:

Connect to Android

To connect your Hisense TV to your Android device via Bluetooth, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Bluetooth on your phone (you can find it in the settings menu).
  2. Turn on Bluetooth and ensure it’s in pairing mode.
  3. To turn on Bluetooth on your Hisense TV, go to Menu > Settings > Network (or Remotes & Accessories) > Bluetooth.
  4. Allow your TV’s Bluetooth to scan for nearby devices.
  5. You should see your phone when the scan is complete.
  6. Click on your phone for pairing.

Mirror Your iPhone

Mirroring your iPhone to your Hisense TV is a little more complicated. There are three ways to do this:

  • Using Airplay
  • Using an HDMI cable
  • Using AirDroid Cast
Using Airplay

Airplay is an iOS feature that enables iPhones to play music and videos and use other apps via a Smart TV or an Apple TV. To mirror your iPhone, follow these steps:

  1. Connect your iPhone and TV to the same WiFi network
  2. Go to Settings on your TV and turn on Airplay
  3. On your iPhone, go to Open Control Centre > Screen Mirroring
  4. Select Hisense TV
  5. Input the passcode that appears on your TV screen.
Using an HDMI Cable

To use an HDMI connection, get an Apple Lightning Digital AV Adapter. Connect the adapter to the lightning port on your iPhone.

Connect one end of the HDMI cord to the adapter’s HDMI port and the other to the TV’s port. Go to the HDMI option on your TV, and the iPhone screen mirror will come up.

Using AirDroid Cast

To screen mirror your iPhone on your Hisense TV via AirDroid Cast, do the following:

  1. Download the AirDroid Cast for iPhones via your Apple Store.
  2. Go to webcast.airdroid.com on your TV browser to access the online version of the AirDroid Cast. A QR code will appear on your TV screen.
  3. Open the app on your iPhone and scan the QR code on your TV screen. You’ll see a prompt on your screen requesting permission to make the connection.
  4. Press Allow to enable pairing.

You can now mirror your iPhone onto your Smart TV.

Connecting to Your Bluetooth Speaker

To connect your TV to your speaker, you need a Bluetooth speaker. Here’s what to do:

  1. Turn on Bluetooth on your speaker and ensure it’s in pairing mode.
  2. Turn on your TV and enable Bluetooth.
  3. Allow the TV Bluetooth scan for available devices.
  4. After scanning, your speaker should show on your TV.
  5. Click on it to pair the devices.

For the best experience, use Hisense wireless speakers. Two of the best include the Hisense HS214 Soundbar and the HS212F Soundbar. Both products are powerful subwoofers with pure surround sound and are available on Amazon.com.

Connecting to Your AirPod

To connect your AirPods to your TV, follow these steps:

Gizmo Geek Guide uploaded this as an original article on February 6, 2023.

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth on your headphones or AirPod. The Bluetooth spot will show a blue light, indicating it’s now in pairing mode.
  2. Turn on the Bluetooth on your TV. The TV Bluetooth will begin to scan for nearby devices. After the scan, your headphones or AirPod will appear in “Available Devices.”
  3. Tap on your device name to enable pairing. You should hear a sound from your headphones as confirmation, and you can use your TV remote to pair the device.

Conclusion

Your Hisense TV Bluetooth may not be working due to the following reasons:

  • The Bluetooth devices may be too far away from each other.
  • The devices may not be in pairing mode.
  • Your TV’s firmware may need updating.
